STRANGER THINGS: THE FIRST SHADOW

David Hockney: Bigger and Closer, LIGHTROOM, LONDON 2023

This is a montage of work in progress overture projection for West Side Story show displayed at IHI Stage Around Theatre in Toyosu, Tokyo. 'This theatre is home to a 360-degree stage with enormous screens that encircle a 1,300-seat rotating auditorium.' Marking the 100th anniversary of the Boeing company, this projection mapping, live event used a real 747 Jumbo Jet as canvas to project transoformative animated content on to the whole aircraft. This short edit focuses on the parts of the animated content I worked on. National History Museum, London 2024

The Bilbao's Guggenheim museum was turned into a canvas for a bespoke projection mapping, public event for over 300,000 spectators in total. The event was produced and directed by 59 Productions with many talented artists contributing to the show. This montage is showing parts of the show that I was involved with, working on animation, fleshing out and helping to bring to life the original visual design. For this edit I used the original music composed for the event by Nick Powell with Alex Lee, with sound design by Tom Hackley.
